금산군, ‘아토피아 리트릿’ 주거휴양단지 개발 본격화

충남 금산군이 지역 균형발전을 위한 핵심 프로젝트로 ‘아토피아 리트릿 주거휴양 단지조성사업’ 개발계획 수립에 박차를 가하고 있다. 

이 사업은 충청남도 제2단계 제2기 지역균형발전사업 중 하나로, 금산군은 지난 2024년 7월 공모를 통해 본 사업에 선정된 바 있다.

군은 군북면 상곡리에 위치한 아토피 자연치유마을 일원을 중심으로 2026년부터 2030년까지 5년간 총 150억 원(도비 75억 원, 군비 75억 원)의 예산을 투입해 특화 주거단지를 조성할 예정이다. 

주요 조성 내용은 주택 신축 27동과 더불어 '맨발 황토길, 마을 공방, 역사기록관, 체험형 프로그램 개발(SW), 주민역량 강화 사업(HW)' 등이다.

현재 군은 충남연구원의 전문 컨설팅을 바탕으로 사업계획의 완성도를 높이고 있으며, 오는 7월 충청남도 균형발전위원회 심의를 통해 최종 의결을 받을 계획이다. 

이와 관련해 금산군 관계자는 “7월에 있을 충남도 균형발전위원회의 최종심의를 앞두고 개발계획을 마무리하는 단계에 접어들었다”며 “체계적인 개발계획 수립을 통해 사업이 차질 없이 추진될 수 있도록 총력을 다하겠다”고 밝혔다.

금산군은 이번 사업을 통해 자연 친화적 주거환경과 치유형 휴양 인프라를 결합한 새로운 지역 정주모델을 선보인다는 방침이다. 특히 아토피 등 환경성 질환 완화에 초점을 둔 ‘리트릿’(Retreat·치유 공간) 개념을 접목함으로써, 주민과 방문객이 공존할 수 있는 지속가능한 마을 조성에 나선다는 계획이다.

지역균형발전과 관광·복지 인프라 확충이라는 두 축을 동시에 고려한 이번 단지 조성사업은, 인구감소와 고령화 등 지방 소멸 위기에 대응하는 실질적 해법으로 주목받고 있다.
