(재)홍성사랑장학회(이사장 이용록)가 지역 청소년과 청년들의 학업과 꿈을 응원하며 또 한 번 뜻깊은 자리를 마련했다.
장학회는 지난 26일 오후 3시, 홍성군청 대강당에서 ‘2025년 장학증서 수여식’을 개최하고 총 306명의 장학생에게 약 3억8천만 원의 장학금을 전달했다.
이날 행사에는 장학생과 학부모를 비롯해 장학회 임원, 관계자 등 200여 명이 참석해 지역사회가 함께 키워낸 인재들의 성장에 박수를 보냈다.
장학금은 초등학생부터 대학생까지 폭넓게 지급됐다. 구체적으로는 '초등학생 51명', '중학생 80명', '고등학생 56명', '대학생 119명'에게 각 50만 원에서 최대 300만 원까지 지급되었으며, 선발 대상에는 학업 성취자뿐 아니라 다자녀 가정, 저소득층, 예체능 분야 수상자 등 다양한 배경의 학생들이 포함됐다.

2005년 설립된 홍성사랑장학회는 군민과 지역 기업, 단체, 출향인의 후원으로 현재까지 총 149억 원의 장학기금을 조성했다. 지금까지 약 3,800여 명의 학생에게 43억 원가량의 장학금을 지급하며 지역의 교육 기반을 다지는 데 앞장서고 있다.
