세종시교육청이 학교와 지역돌봄기관 간의 연계를 강화하고 ‘세종형 늘봄학교’ 운영의 내실화를 꾀하기 위해 권역별 협의체 전체회의를 열었다.
교육청은 6월 27일 정부세종컨벤션센터에서 ‘2025학년도 늘봄학교 운영계획’의 일환으로 권역별늘봄협의체 상반기 전체 협의회를 개최했다고 밝혔다.
이번 회의는 학교와 지역사회가 함께 참여해 지속 가능한 돌봄 생태계를 구축하자는 취지에서 마련됐다.
‘권역별늘봄협의체’는 지역 내 학교와 돌봄기관 간 협력 기반을 조성하기 위한 조직으로, 중심학교 13곳을 거점으로 늘봄지원팀장 23명 ,학교별 총괄 초등돌봄전담사 57명 ,지역 돌봄기관 센터장 24명 등 총 104명으로 구성돼 있다. 이들은 권역 내 소그룹 협의회, 교류 프로그램, 역량강화 연수 등을 통해 상시 협력 체계를 운영 중이다.
이날 협의회에서는 각 기관의 운영 사례를 공유하고, 서울여자대학교 정재훈 교수(사회복지학과)를 초청해 ‘지역사회 교육·돌봄 허브로서의 늘봄학교, 지속가능한 한국사회를 위한 제언’이라는 주제로 특별 강연이 진행됐다. 이어 현장 참여자들과의 질의응답 시간을 통해 돌봄 정책의 방향성과 실천 방안을 함께 모색했다.
천범산 세종시 부교육감은 “늘봄학교가 성공적으로 자리 잡기 위해서는 지역사회와의 유기적인 연계가 필수적”이라며 “이번 협의회가 학교와 지역돌봄기관 간의 가교 역할을 하고, 나아가 세종시 아이들을 위한 돌봄 생태계의 토대를 다지는 계기가 되길 바란다”고 강조했다.
세종시교육청은 올해 권역별 늘봄협의체 운영을 위해 총 2500만 원의 예산을 확보해 13개 권역을 지원하고 있다고 밝혔다.
