충남교육청, '제19회 전국장애학생체전' 종합시상식 성료

장애학생 체육교육의 저력을 다시 한 번 증명한 충청남도교육청이 30일, 아산에서 '제19회 전국장애학생체육대회' 충남선수단 종합시상식을 성대히 열었다. 이번 시상식은 지난 5월 13일부터 16일까지 경상남도에서 열린 대회 성과를 되새기고, 장애학생들의 도전과 성취를 축하하기 위해 마련됐다.

행사에는 김지철 충남교육감을 비롯해 입상 학생과 교육장, 지도교사, 감독·코치 등 300여 명이 참석해 선수들의 노고를 함께 격려하고 축하했다. 충남교육청은 이번 시상식을 통해 체육활동을 통한 장애학생 성장 지원 의지를 다시 한 번 분명히 했다.

충남 대표선수단은 총 432명(선수 150명, 지도교사 108명, 임원 포함 174명)으로 구성되어 육상, 수영, 배드민턴, 조정 등 11개 종목에 참가했다. 그 결과 금메달 45개, 은메달 50개, 동메달 31개 등 총 126개의 메달을 획득하며 4년 연속 종합 3위에 올랐다.
