(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 인천시교육청이 지난 6월 30일, 도성훈 인천교육감이 송도 컨벤시아에서 열린 ‘오늘을 읽고, 미래를 여는 인천교육정책 소통 콘서트’에 참석해 유치원 및 어린이집 교직원·학부모와 소통의 시간을 가졌다고 밝혔다.

인천시교육청에 따르면, 이번 행사는 인천시교육청이 추진하는 유아교육 정책의 비전을 공유하고, 현장의 목소리를 반영한 정책 방향을 모색하기 위해 마련됐다.

도 교육감은 ‘학교를 삶으로! 일상을 배움으로!’를 주제로 한 강연에서 “학생성공시대는 유아교육과 보육에서부터 시작된다”며 “디지털 대전환의 시기일수록 읽걷쓰 교육, 놀이 교육 등 아날로그 방식의 교육이 우선되어야 한다”고 말했다.

이어 “AI․디지털 기술에만 익숙해지면 아이들의 인지능력이 저하될 수 있기 때문에, 단순한 AI․디지털 교육이 아닌, 읽걷쓰와 놀이 기반의 AI 교육이 필요하다”고 강조했다.

또한, 도 교육감은 “우리는 유아교육을 통해 ‘함께 배우고, 함께 사는 삶’을 시작해야 한다”며 “놀이와 관계, 자연과 일상에서 배우는 유아기의 경험이 아이들의 생애 전 과정을 지탱하게 될 것이다”고 말하며, 유아교육의 공공성과 공동체성을 재확인했다.

행사 후에는 유아교육·보육 현장의 다양한 의견을 나누는 소통의 시간도 마련됐다.

인천시교육청은 앞으로도 교육공동체와의 지속적인 대화를 통해 유아 한 명, 한 명이 존중받는 교육환경을 조성해 나갈 방침이다.
