세종시교육청이 학교지원본부 출범 1주년을 맞아 지난 1년간의 성과를 돌아보고 향후 운영 방향을 제시했다. 최교진 세종시교육감은 1일 오전 교육청 대회의실에서 기자회견을 열고, 학교지원본부가 "학교 중심 지원행정"을 실현하는 핵심 조직으로 자리매김하고 있다고 강조했다.
학교지원본부는 2023년 출범 이후, 단순한 지원을 넘어 학교 현장의 다양한 요구에 발 빠르게 대응하기 위한 밀착형 행정체계를 구축했다. 총 73개의 고정지원사업 가운데 30개는 신규 기획된 사업으로, 맞춤형 지원의 폭을 넓히는 데 기여했다.
본부는 교육지원 ,행정지원 ,화해중재 ,시설지원 등 4개 부서를 중심으로 운영되며, 각 부서는 현장의 수요를 반영한 실질적 서비스를 제공하고 있다.
특히 교원의 행정 부담을 줄이고, 학생을 위한 교육복지 서비스를 강화한 점이 긍정적으로 평가됐다.

또한 화해중재부는 학교폭력 사안에 대해 전문적이고 신속한 대응 체계를 구축하고, 위기 학생들을 위한 심리·정서적 개입과 지원도 강화하며 학교 현장의 신뢰를 높였다.
앞으로의 운영 방향에 대해서는, 학교 수요 기반의 신속하고 정확한 지원 시스템 구축에 주력하겠다는 입장을 밝혔다. 특히 올해 하반기에는 ‘학교통합지원시스템’을 새롭게 도입하고, 2026년까지는 복합업무지원센터를 완공해 지원 기능을 통합·고도화할 계획이다.
