[브레이크뉴스=강동호 기자] 2027년 제66회 경남도민체육대회 개최지가 경남 서부 4개 군(산청군·함양군·거창군·합천군)으로 지난 1일 경상남도체육회 제14차 이사회를 통해 최종 확정됐다.
도내 최초로 4개 군이 공동으로 개최하는 제66회 경상남도민체육대회는 체육 인프라와 지역 자원을 균형 있게 활용하며 지역 간 상생과 교류를 촉진하고, 지역경제를 활성화하는 중요한 기회의 장이 될 것으로 보인다.
이번 공동유치를 위한 서부 4개군의 노력은 지난 3월 7일 합천군에서 열린 스포츠정책토론회를 통해 본격적으로 시작됐다.
이 자리에서 4개 군은 하나 되어 공동 유치의 명분과 필요성을 공유하며 협력의 토대를 마련했고, 4개군 행정협의회 등을 통해 지속적으로 정보를 공유하며 협력해 왔다.
