영덕군의 해수욕장은 백사장이 8km에 달하는 고래불·대진 해수욕장, 솔숲이 우거진 장사 해수욕장, 그리고 아담하고 가족 단위에 적합한 오보·경정·하저·남호 해수욕장까지 총 7곳이다. 동해안 대표 여름 명소로 자리매김한 이들 해변은 고운 모래와 청정 수질로 매년 수많은 피서객들의 발길을 끌고 있다.
