세계적인 미술 거장들의 실물 작품이 NFT로 다시 태어난다. 업비트 NFT가 실물 자산과 디지털 기술을 결합해 미술 시장의 경계를 허무는 시도에 나섰다.
두나무가 운영하는 NFT 플랫폼 ‘업비트 NFT’는 7월 4일부터 한 달간 매주 금요일마다 세계적인 아티스트의 실물 연계 NFT를 선보이는 ‘컬렉터스 위크엔드(Collector’s Weekend)’를 진행한다고 밝혔다.
이번 컬렉션에는 일본 현대미술의 아이콘 요시토모 나라, 초현실주의의 거장 살바도르 달리, 전위예술의 대가 야요이 쿠사마 등 세계적인 아티스트 3인의 대표작이 포함돼 있다. 경매는 ‘잉글리시 옥션’ 방식으로 진행되며, 낙찰가는 가장 높은 입찰 가격으로 결정된다. 결제는 스테이블코인인 USDT(테더)로 이뤄진다.
이 프로젝트는 아트 투자 플랫폼 열매컴퍼니의 자회사 ‘버즈아트(BBuzzArt)’와 공동으로 기획됐다. 버즈아트는 국내외 미술 작가들의 작품을 NFT로 선보이며 미술 시장의 디지털 전환을 이끄는 전문 기업이다.
