(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 부평구가 8일, ‘인천나비공원(청천동 68-17 일원) 어린이 모험 숲’ 조성을 마쳤다고 밝혔다.
부평구에 따르면, 구는 이날 인천나비공원에서 차준택 구청장, 안애경 구의회의장 및 시·구의원, 주민 등 150여 명이 참석한 가운데 준공식을 진행했다.
부평구는 오는 7월 말까지 시범 운영 후 주민들에게 정식 개방할 계획이다.
모험 숲은 총 면적 414㎡로 나비타워놀이터, 나무조형 놀이시설(빅트리), 하늘 산책로(스카이워크) 등 기존 공원에서 볼 수 없는 시설들로 구성됐다.
예산 9억원이 투입된 어린이 모험 숲 조성 사업은 지난해부터 시작돼 대상지와 시설물 선정에 대해 전문가 등의 다양한 의견수렴을 거쳐 진행됐다.
부평구는 여러 의견을 반영해 나비공원의 생태환경에 맞춰 인공시설을 최소화하고, 나비와 어울리는 창의적인 디자인을 적용한 그물형 어린이 놀이시설 등을 조성했다.
이를 통해 구는 아이들이 자연과 교감하고, 모험심과 탐구심을 키우며 친구들과 함께 건강하게 성장할 수 있을 것으로 기대하고 있다.
차준택 구청장은 “모험 숲은 아이들이 자연 속에서 스스로 탐색하고 도전하며 성장할 수 있는 소중한 공간이 될 것”이라며 “부평구는 아동친화도시로써 아이들이 행복하고 안전하게 자랄 수 있는 환경을 만들기 위해 계속 노력하겠다”고 전했다.
