(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 부천시가 8일 시 보건소에서 거동이 불편하거나 건강상의 이유로 등록기관을 방문하기 어려운 시민을 위해 ‘찾아가는 웰엔딩 상담소’를 상시 운영하고 있다고 밝혔다.
부천시에 따르면, 이번 상담소는 사전연명의료의향서와 장기·인체조직 기증 희망 등록 상담 서비스를 함께 제공한다.
‘찾아가는 웰엔딩 상담소’는 외출이 어려운 고령자 등을 대상으로 상담 인력이 직접 가정을 방문해 1:1 상담을 진행하고, 필요한 등록 절차를 지원하는 서비스다.
서비스를 이용하려면 어르신이나 보호자가 먼저 부천시보건소에 유선으로 신청해야 한다.
이번 서비스는 연명의료에 대한 본인의 의사를 미리 밝혀 자기결정권을 실현하도록 돕는 ‘사전연명의료의향서’와, 생명 나눔을 실천할 수 있도록 지원하는 ‘장기·인체조직 기증 희망 등록’ 상담 및 등록을 중심으로 운영한다.
상담 이용자들은 “이동이 어려워 포기했던 등록을 도와줘서 감사하다”, “직접 찾아와 상담해주니 안심이 된다”고 말하며 긍정적인 반응을 보였다.
