예산에서 '한-폴란드 국제 예술 교류전' 열린다

충남 예산군이 오는 7월 15일부터 31일까지 예산읍 소재 문화공간 ‘이음창작소’에서 한-폴란드 국제 예술 교류전을 개최한다. 

이번 전시는 “서로 다른 세상을 연결한다”를 주제로, 양국 예술가들이 각자의 문화적 배경을 바탕으로 창작한 작품을 통해 문화적 공감대를 확장하고, 지역 간 예술 교류의 폭을 넓히기 위해 마련됐다.

이번 전시에는 폴란드 예술인 19명이 참여해 유화, 드로잉, 누빔, 공예 등 다양한 장르의 작품 70여 점을 소개한다. 전시 개막식은 7월 15일 오후 2시 30분에 개최되며, 폴란드 작가 6명과 주한 폴란드대사관 영사가 참석해 작품 설명과 관람객과의 대화 시간도 진행된다.

전시장소인 ‘이음창작소’는 예산군이 도시재생사업을 통해 조성한 대표적인 문화거점 공간으로, 연중 250일 이상 다양한 전시와 프로그램이 이어지며 지역 예술 생태계의 중심으로 자리잡고 있다.

이번 전시는 예산군도시재생지원센터(센터장 정남수)와 양국 예술인들이 공동 기획했으며, 지방자치단체가 주도한 국제 문화 교류 사례라는 점에서 지역 문화의 글로벌 확장 가능성을 제시하는 모델로 주목받고 있다.

정남수 센터장은 “두 나라의 지역과 주민이 자발적으로 준비한 이번 전시를 통해 예산이 국제 문화 도시로 성장할 수 있는 가능성을 보여주게 돼 뜻깊다”며 “지역 문화가 세계와 만나는 창구가 되기를 기대한다”고 말했다.

특히 이번 전시는 한국과 폴란드가 식민 지배, 전쟁, 분단이라는 역사적 아픔을 공통적으로 경험했음에도 불구하고, 언어와 문화 정체성을 지켜온 점에서 공감대가 크다는 평가를 받고 있다. 양국 국민이 예술이라는 매개를 통해 역사적 연대감과 상호 이해의 폭을 넓히는 계기가 될 것으로 기대된다.

Yesan-gun, Chungcheongnam-do, will hold the Korea-Poland International Art Exchange Exhibition at the cultural space ‘Ieum Changjakso’ located in Yesan-eup from July 15 to 31.
