충남 예산군이 7월 들어 지속되고 있는 이례적인 폭염에 대응하기 위해 긴급 대응체계를 가동하며 군민 보호에 총력을 기울이고 있다.
군은 지난 9일 김택중 부군수 주재로 ‘폭염 대비 추진상황 보고회’를 열고, 관련 부서의 대응 현황과 향후 대책을 집중 점검했다. 이번 회의에서는 여름철 재난 대응의 실효성을 높이기 위한 우수사례 공유와 보완 방안에 대한 논의도 함께 이뤄졌다.
군은 여름철 자연재난 대책 기간 동안 상황관리반, 건강관리지원반, 농축산지원반, 구급대책반 등 4개 부서로 구성된 임시전담반(TF팀)을 운영 중이며, 비상상황 발생 시 신속한 대응 체계를 갖춘 상태다.
특히 폭염 취약계층인 노인, 저소득층 등을 대상으로는 ‘안전동반자(안전파트너)’ 인력을 활용한 집중 예찰활동과 함께 냉방용품, 식수 등 필수 물품 지원이 병행되고 있다.
예산군은 지역 특성상 농업 종사 인구가 많은 점을 감안해 자율방재단과 협력하여 폭염특보 발효 시 영농활동 자제를 안내하고 있으며, 농민들을 대상으로 팔토시, 그늘모자 등 개인 보호장비를 직접 배부하며 온열질환 예방에도 힘쓰고 있다.
