충남 홍성군(군수 이용록)이 민선8기의 정책 성과를 가시화하고 군정의 완성도를 높이기 위한 본격 행보에 돌입했다.
군은 지난 10일 군청 회의실에서 ‘2025년 군정 상반기 실적 및 하반기 계획 보고회’를 열고, 미래전략 과제의 추진 방향을 전면 재점검하며 하반기 실행력을 높이기로 했다.
이날 보고회는 이용록 군수를 비롯해 부군수, 국장, 각 부서장 및 팀장 등 180여 명이 참석한 가운데 진행됐으며, 군정 전반의 성과와 과제를 집중 점검하고 미래 먹거리 창출을 위한 청사진을 공유하는 자리가 됐다.
군은 민선8기의 핵심 비전인 ‘따뜻한 동행, 행복한 홍성’을 토대로 '미래 산업도시', '스마트 농어촌', '문화관광 도시', '행정중심 복합도시', '복지도시', '안전도시' 등 6대 분야에서 균형 있는 정책 성과를 추진 중이다. 상반기에는 각종 대외 평가에서 괄목할 성과를 거두며 행정 역량을 입증했다.
특히, '거버넌스 지방정치 대상 최우수상 수상', '충청남도 시군 종합평가 4년 연속 최우수', '지방자치단체 혁신평가 6년 연속 우수기관 선정', '적극행정 종합평가 3년 연속 우수기관 선정' 등 군민의 행정 신뢰도를 제고한 주요 성과들이 잇따랐다.

농업 분야에서는 스마트농업 육성지구와 광천 상정지구 공간정비사업을 통해 청년농의 유입 기반을 다지고, 유기농업특구 고도화를 통해 지속가능한 농업 생태계를 구축한다.
문화·관광 정책 역시 새로운 전기를 맞는다. 홍성의 전통음악 자산을 현대적으로 재해석한 ‘K-락(樂) 디지털 스페이스’ 실시설계를 시작으로, 용봉산권역의 산림휴양 자원과 연계한 ‘포레스트 어드벤처’ 및 무장애 나눔길 조성 사업이 동시다발적으로 추진된다.
이외에도, 충남혁신도시 내 교육·의료 인프라 확충과 KAIST와의 연계 클러스터 조성을 포함한 중장기 권역별 발전전략 수립을 통해 새 정부의 정책 기조에 발맞춘 선제적 대응을 구체화한다는 계획이다.
