충남 태안군이 고품질 친환경 농업 보급을 통해 농가 경영 안정과 환경 보호라는 두 마리 토끼를 잡고 있다. 군은 다양한 친환경 농업 지원 사업으로 농업인들의 호응을 얻으며 지속 가능한 농업 발전에 앞장서고 있다.
주요 사업으로는 '친환경농산물 인증비 지원', '친환경 농자재 지원', '친환경 농업 직접 직불 및 저탄소 친환경 인증비 지원' 등이 있다.
'친환경농산물 인증비 지원' 사업은 농가 부담 경감을 위해 친환경농산물 생산 및 유통에 필요한 인증 비용을 지원한다. 올해 총 5,100만 원이 투입되며, 친환경농산물 인기가 높아지면서 지난해 117개 농가가 인증을 받는 등 농가 신청이 꾸준히 증가하고 있다.
'친환경 농자재 지원' 사업은 올해 13억 5천만 원을 들여 유기질비료 구입비를 지원, 농림·축산 부산물 재활용과 토양 환경 보전을 도모합니다. 지난해 약 1,883만kg의 유기질 비료를 지원하며 성과를 보였다.
