(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 부천시가 15일, 관내 이주배경아동의 학습권 보장과 정서적 성장을 위해 주말 학습 프로그램 ‘모다교실’에 다양한 자원을 연계해 주말 학습환경 조성에 나서고 있다고 밝혔다.
부천시에 따르면, ‘모다교실’은 ‘모두의 다양성’, ‘모두 다 함께’라는 의미를 담고 있으며, 부천교육문화재단(이사장 권혁섭)이 도당동 강남경로당에서 운영 중인 이주배경아동 학습 프로그램이다.
이 프로그램은 매주 토요일과 일요일, 이주배경아동 16명을 대상으로 한국어·수학 등 수준별 기초학습과 창의인성 공동체놀이, 생태학습 등 통합형 교육활동으로 운영된다.
아울러 부천시는 (사)행복을나누는사람들이 운영하는 ‘행복한동행푸드뱅크’와 협력해, 참여 아동에게 빵과 음료 등 간식을 제공하고 있다.
또, 생태학습과 계절 체험활동 지원하기 위해 여월 양묘장에서 분양한 봄·여름 꽃묘 360주를 두 차례에 걸쳐 제공해, 아이들이 직접 식물을 심고 가꾸는 경험을 할 수 있도록 했다.
이번 지원은 부천시 여성다문화과 외국인지원팀 주관으로 진행됐으며, 시는 앞으로도 민간 단체와 교육기관, 지역 자원을 적극 연계해 이주배경아동이 지역사회에서 건강하게 성장할 수 있도록 다양한 지원을 이어갈 계획이다.
