【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=행복북구문화재단이 7월 21일부터 8월 9일까지 어울아트센터 갤러리 명봉에서 하지원 작가의 개인전 ‘초점과 의식의 흐름’을 연다.
일상 속 아이의 감각과 경험을 예술로 녹여낸 이번 전시는 추상미술을 보다 쉽고 재미있게 만날 수 있는 기회다.
하지원 작가는 평면 그림을 해체하고 다시 조합하는 독특한 작업 방식으로 자신만의 표현을 찾아왔다. 전시 주인공 ‘롤러코스터’는 육아를 하며 느낀 아이의 놀이 리듬과 즐거움을 공간에 그려 넣은 설치 작품이다.
색종이 띠, 오징어 합판, 포맥스, 모터 등 다양한 재료가 어우러진 ‘롤러코스터’는 단순한 선과 곡선, 반복적인 움직임으로 아이의 눈에 비친 세상을 생생하게 보여준다. 작가가 아이의 성장 과정에서 느낀 감정과 기억을 입체적 공간으로 풀어내 관람객들도 자연스레 아이 마음속으로 여행을 떠나게 된다.
이 작품은 ‘예술가 아빠가 만든 예술 놀이터’ 시리즈 두 번째 이야기로, 앞으로 빛, 소리, 형태 같은 감각 요소를 더한 다양한 설치와 체험 프로그램으로 확장될 예정이다.
하지원 작가는 “내 경험을 작품으로 풀고, 그 이야기를 다른 사람들과 나누는 것이 작업의 의미”라며 “완벽하지 않은 상태에서 새로운 가능성을 찾는 과정이 가장 즐겁다”고 말했다.
행복북구문화재단 박정숙 대표는 “하지원 작가의 작품은 일상과 예술이 만나 새로운 이야기를 만드는 흥미로운 여정”이라며 “앞으로도 지역 예술가들의 창의적인 도전을 적극 지원하고 관객과 활발히 소통하겠다”고 밝혔다.

The Happy Buk-gu Cultural Foundation will hold Ha Ji-won’s solo exhibition ‘Focus and Stream of Consciousness’ at the Gallery Myeongbong of the Aul Art Center from July 21 to August 9.
This exhibition, which melts the senses and experiences of children in their daily lives into art, is an opportunity to encounter abstract art more easily and enjoyably.
Ha Ji-won has found her own expression through a unique method of dismantling and reassembling flat paintings. The main character of the exhibition, ‘Roller Coaster’, is an installation work that depicts the rhythm and joy of children’s play that she felt while raising children.
‘Roller Coaster’, which combines various materials such as colored paper strips, squid plywood, Foamex, and motors, vividly shows the world seen through a child’s eyes with simple lines and curves and repetitive movements. The artist interprets the emotions and memories she felt during the child’s growth process into a three-dimensional space, allowing viewers to naturally go on a journey into the child’s mind.
This work is the second story in the series ‘Art Playground Created by Artist Dad’, and will be expanded into various installations and experiential programs that add sensory elements such as light, sound, and shape in the future.
Artist Ha Ji-won said, “The meaning of my work is to interpret my experiences into works and share those stories with others,” and “The process of finding new possibilities in an imperfect state is the most enjoyable.”
Park Jeong-sook, head of the Happy Buk-gu Cultural Foundation, said, “Artist Ha Ji-won’s work is an interesting journey where everyday life and art meet to create new stories,” and added, “We will continue to actively support the creative challenges of local artists and actively communicate with the audience.”
