(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 인천시가 오는 7월 18일부터 강화터미널에서 신촌역까지 운행되는 광역버스 3000번 노선에 차량 2대를 늘려 총 12대를 운행한다고 밝혔다.
인천시에 따르면, 3000번 버스는 강화터미널에서 마곡역, 합정역, 신촌역 등 서울 지역으로 연결되는 유일 버스노선으로 그동안 강화군민의 중요한 교통수단 역할을 해왔다.
3000번 버스는 기존 총 23대가 운행됐으나, 지난해 7월 인천시 3000번(8대), 김포시 3000-1번(15대)으로 각각 분리하여 운행되고 있다.
이후 인천시는 지난해 12월에도 3000번 버스 차량 2대를 늘려 배차 간격을 약 5분 단축하는 등 강화군민의 교통 편의 개선에 힘써왔다.
이번 증차 조치로 오는 7월 18일 첫차부터 3000번 버스는 12대로 늘어나며 특히 출퇴근 시간대에는 배차 간격이 기존 20분에서 15분으로 5분 더 단축된다.
인천시는 이를 통해 광역버스를 이용하는 강화군민의 이동 편의성이 더욱 향상될 것으로 기대하고 있다.
한편, 현재 대도시권광역교통위원회의 M버스 요금 기준(카드 기준 2,800원)으로 운영 중인 3000번 노선은, 요금 체계의 일관성을 위해 오는 2025년 8월 1일 첫 차부터 인천시 직행좌석 요금(카드기준, 일반 3,000원)을 적용할 예정이다.
