(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 인천시가 오는 18일, 수산 분야 현안 논의와 어업 현장 애로사항 청취를 위해 영흥수협 어촌계장과의 소통의 시간을 마련한다고 밝혔다.
인천시에 따르면, 이날 간담회에 이어 7월 23에는 경인북부수협, 8월 중에는 인천수협과 경인서부수협에서 각각 소통간담회를 개최할 계획이다.
이번 간담회에는 송병훈 수산과장을 비롯해 군·구 소관 과장, 지구별 수협장과 어촌계장 등이 참석한다.
이번 소통간담회는 지속 가능한 수산업 발전을 위해 지구별 수협과의 정책 협력을 강화하고, 인천 연안해역 야간조업 제한 및 비어업인의 수산자원 포획·채취 관련 수산자원관리법 개정 등 어업규제 완화에 대한 현안을 설명하고 논의하기 위해 추진된다.
아울러, 기후변화 등으로 인한 어획량 감소와 유류비 상승으로 어업경영이 어려운 어업 현장의 애로사항을 청취해 수산업 및 어촌 발전을 위해 필요한 신규 사업을 발굴하는 등 어업인들에 대한 지원을 강화해 나갈 계획이다.
한편, 인천시는 지난 7월 8일 덕적·자월어촌계협의회(회장 강차병)와 마을어업 및 전복·해삼 등 양식업 면허어장 운영에 대한 어려움을 상호 공유하고 합리적인 해결 방안을 모색하는 시간을 가졌다.
송병훈 시 수산과장은 "어업인들의 생생한 목소리를 현장에서 직접 들으며, 어업 규제 완화와 신규 사업 발굴 등을 통해 어업 경쟁력을 강화해 나가겠다”며, “앞으로도 어촌계장과 지속적인 소통으로 어업인들의 어려움을 함께 극복해 나가겠다”고 말했다.
