[브레이크뉴스=양영석 기자] 김해시는 18일 김해시 일원에서 김해시와 밀양시 청년정책협의체 위원 30여 명이 참석한 가운데 교류회를 개최했다.
교류회는 △봉황대길 역사·문화 투어 △김해청년센터 김해청년다옴 방문 △간담회와 네트워킹(오픈토크) 순으로 진행됐으며 양 지역 청년들은 지역 문제를 함께 진단하고 해결 방안을 모색하는 정책 아이디어를 공유했다.
밀양 청년들은 특히 침체일로를 걷던 구도심이 청년 창업가와 주민들의 협력으로 활기를 되찾은 봉황대길(봉리단길) 투어에 큰 관심을 보였다.
청년 상인 박영호(41)씨가 운영하는 ‘WIYP 종이상점’은 독특한 재생종이 제품으로 눈길을 끌었고 가야사 누리길 코스 중 하나인 봉황대공원에서는 가야의 정취와 함께 아름다운 산책로를 체험했다.
이어 김해청년다옴에서 진행된 간담회에서는 청년정책협의체 간 운영 성과를 공유하고 청년 활동과 관련된 다양한 주제로 자유롭게 토의하는 시간을 가졌다.
참석자들은 김해청년다옴 내 주요 공간들을 둘러본 후 내년 7월 개관을 앞둔 밀양시 ‘청년행복누림센터’의 운영 방향 등에 대해서도 의견을 교환했다.
손대성 김해시 청년정책협의체 위원장은 “다양한 분야의 청년들이 모여 지역에서 나타나는 청년 이슈를 함께 고민해보는 뜻깊은 시간이었다”며 “청년들이 공감하는 지속가능한 정책을 제안할 수 있도록 노력하겠다”고 말했다.
한편 김해시는 정책 우수사례 공유, 벤치마킹, 정책제안 워크숍 등 청년참여기구 교류 활성화를 위해 타 지역과의 협력 사업을 적극 추진할 방침이다.
