세종특별자치시교육청(교육감 최교진)과 세종특별자치시장애인체육회(회장 최민호)가 중증장애인의 체육활동 참여 확대와 직업 자립 지원을 위해 손을 맞잡았다.
양 기관은 21일 오후 2시, 시청 접견실에서 관계자들이 참석한 가운데 ‘중증장애인 스포츠단 보치아팀’ 창단 및 운영을 위한 업무협약을 체결했다.
이번 협약은 전국 시·도 교육청 가운데 최초로 추진된 것으로, 세종시교육청 소속 장애인 실업팀이 창단되는 역사적 첫 사례다. 창단 종목은 중증장애인을 위한 전문 경기인 ‘보치아’이며, 세종시장애인체육회가 실질적인 운영을 맡는다.
