【브레이크뉴스 포항】박영재 기자=포항시는 미래 성장 가능성과 기술 경쟁력을 갖춘 지역 내 유망기업 11개사를 ‘2025년도 포항시 유망강소기업’으로 신규 선정했다고 22일 밝혔다.

이번에 선정된 기업은 ▲우수유망강소기업으로 ㈜이스온 ▲유망강소기업에는 ㈜동우, ㈜와이테크, ㈜햅스 ▲예비유망강소기업에는 디컴포지션㈜, 솔라라이즈㈜, 쓰리브룩스테라퓨틱스㈜, ㈜옴니코트, ㈜투엔, ㈜파이어크루, ㈜하이보 등이다.
이들 기업은 기계·소재(5개사), 전기·전자(3개사), 바이오·의료(2개사), 지식서비스(1개사) 등 다양한 업종에서 선발됐으며, 시는 각 기업의 매출 규모, 기술력, 경영전략 등을 종합적으로 평가해 선정했다.
포항시는 지난 4월부터 기업 신청을 받아 요건 심사, 현장 실사, 발표 및 종합평가 등 4단계의 엄격한 심사를 거쳐 ‘강소기업성장위원회’의 심의·의결을 통해 최종 11개사를 확정했다.
선정된 기업은 ▲맞춤형 기업 지원 ▲경영환경 분석 기반 스케일업 컨설팅 ▲PM(Project Manager) 제도 운영 ▲유관기관과의 협력 통한 R&D 역량 강화 ▲해외시장 진출 지원 ▲중소기업 운전자금 우대 등 다양한 행정·재정적 혜택을 받게 된다.
특히 올해부터는 기업의 성장단계에 맞춰 컨설팅 분야를 ‘전략’과 ‘도약’ 파트로 세분화해 실질적인 성장을 지원하는 체계를 강화했다.
아울러 시는 지난 2023년부터 ‘예비유망강소기업’ 군을 새롭게 도입하고, 올해 2월 ‘포항시 강소기업 육성 및 지원 조례’를 개정해 지정 기간이 만료된 졸업기업에 대한 재지정 근거도 마련했다.
이번 위원회를 통해 총 22개 기업이 재지정되었으며, 시는 이들 기업에 인증현판 제공과 함께 홍보 등 간접적 행정지원을 이어갈 방침이다. 이를 통해 ‘포항시 유망강소기업’ 브랜드의 대외 신뢰도와 경쟁력을 지속적으로 강화할 계획이다.
김정표 포항시 일자리경제국장은 “포항은 바이오, 이차전지 등 미래 신성장 산업과 전통적인 철강 산업이 공존하는 산업 구조를 갖고 있다”며 “유망강소기업을 포항의 대표 브랜드로 육성하고, 글로벌 시장에서도 통할 수 있도록 행정적·재정적 지원을 아끼지 않겠다”고 강조했다.
한편, 이번에 선정된 기업 중 일부는 최근 미국에서 열린 ‘CES 2025’에서 혁신상을 수상하고, 월드클래스 기업(산업통상자원부)으로 지정되는 등 대외적으로도 높은 성과를 거두며 기술력과 성장 가능성을 입증하고 있다.

These companies were selected from various industries such as machinery and materials (5 companies), electrical and electronic (3 companies), bio and medical (2 companies), and knowledge services (1 company), and the city comprehensively evaluated each company’s sales volume, technological prowess, and management strategy to select them.
