국립공주대학교(총장 임경호) 사범대학(학장 유종열)이 23일, 대학 내 사범대학관 대회의실에서 ‘2025학년도 해외 교육봉사 발대식’을 열고 예비교사들의 글로벌 교육 여정에 본격적인 출발을 알렸다.
이번 교육봉사 프로그램은 국제 교육협력 차원에서 사범대학이 지속적으로 추진하고 있는 대표 사업으로, 교육 현장 경험을 쌓을 수 있는 기회를 제공함과 동시에 공적개발원조(ODA) 대상국에 대한 실질적인 교육지원을 목표로 한다.
올해 활동에 참여하는 봉사단은 교육학과, 지리교육과, 일반사회교육과 소속 재학생 9명으로 구성됐다. 이들은 약 한 달간의 집중 사전교육을 거쳐, 오는 24일부터 8월 7일까지 2주간 중앙아시아 키르기스스탄의 수도 비슈케크 현지 초·중등학교에서 교육 봉사에 나선다.
봉사단은 현지 학생들을 대상으로 한국어 수업을 비롯해 K-POP, 태권도, 사물놀이 등 다양한 한국문화를 소개하는 체험형 프로그램을 운영할 계획이다. 단순한 언어교육을 넘어 상호문화 이해를 기반으로 한 ‘참여형 교육’에 방점을 두고 있다는 설명이다.
유종열 사범대학장은 "이번 해외 교육봉사가 예비교사들에게 타인에 대한 배려와 책임을 실천하는 계기가 되길 바라며, 다양한 문화를 이해하고 수용하는 폭넓은 시야를 갖추는 기회가 되기를 기대한다”며“사범대학도 교육봉사가 원활히 이루어질 수 있도록 적극 지원하겠다”고 말했다.
