중국이 고구려와 발해를 자국사로 편입하고 있다. 그들도 더 이상 감추지 않는다. 중국 지린성의 황창(黃强) 당서기가 고구려·부여·발해의 역사를 관람객이 직관적으로 이해할 수 있게 자신 있게 설명하라고 지시했다. 이 지시가 의미하는 것은 분명하다. 중화사관을 끝장내는 마무리 작업, 동북공정의 최종전이 이제 막 시작됐다는 선언이다.
이것은 단순한 지역 박물관의 전시 지침이 아니다. 중국 공산당 중앙의 역사전쟁 선포다. 한민족 정체성과 동북아 국제질서의 판도를 바꾸기 위한, 냉혹하고 치밀한 전략의 일부다. 과거사와 국가 정체성을 비틀고, 통일 이후 한반도 북부의 역사적 귀속권까지 중국이 선점하겠다는 지정학적 침략이다.
그런데 대한민국 정부는? 도대체 어디 있나. 외교부도, 대통령실도, 국회도, 여당도, 야당도—모두가 한마디조차 내지 않는다. 중국이 고구려를 자기 역사로 고치고 있는 이 엄중한 순간, 한국 정부는 마치 외교권을 포기한 식물국가처럼 침묵하고 있다.
○ 역사 주권 침탈 앞에서 무릎 꿇은 외교
지린성은 현재 중국 땅이다. 그러나 그곳은 과거 고구려의 심장부였고, 발해의 수도였다. 백두산과 두만강, 연변과 흑룡강—그 모든 곳에 고대 한국사의 흔적이 살아 있다. 그런데 그 지역의 수장이, 버젓이 중국사로 자신 있게 설명하라고 지시했다. 이건 유물전시 해설이 아니라, 민족 정체성에 대한 선전포고다.
그럼에도 이재명 정권은 굳게 입을 다물고 있다. 그 침묵은 무기력이 아니라 묵인이다. 아니, 이제는 방조라는 표현이 더 정확하다. 친중적 언행, 반미적 몸짓, 자유민주주의 가치를 외면한 외교 방기(放棄)—그 모든 것이 이 정권의 외교기조다.
윤석열 정부 시절, 대통령은 중국에 할 말은 하겠다고 선언했다. 그 외교는 비로소 자존의 냄새가 났다. 그런데 정권이 바뀌자, 다시 고개를 조아리는 굴종의 시대가 돌아왔다. 조용한 외교란 명분으로 숨는 사이, 고구려는 역사 속에서 사라지고 있다.
○ 동북공정은 고대사 분쟁이 아닌 대한민국 생존의 문제다
동북공정은 단지 역사 왜곡이 아니다. 그것은 대한민국 정체성의 기초를 뒤흔드는 전방위 침투 전략이다. 우리가 고구려·발해의 정통을 계승한 나라임을 포기하면, 통일 이후 북한 영토의 법적 귀속권, 동북아 영토문제, 대북·대중 외교의 논리 구조 자체가 무너진다.
그러나 이재명 정부는 이 문제를 감정적 민족주의 정도로 취급한다. 역사재단 하나 만들고, 예산 편성하여 보고서 하나 내면 책임을 다했다고 착각한다. 하지만 현실은 다르다. 중국은 이미 조선족 언어를 말살했고, 연변 방송과 교육을 중화민족 서사로 개편했다. 조선족은 더 이상 민족공동체가 아니다. 중화체제의 하위 구성원일 뿐이다.
그 와중에 대한민국 정부는 북한보다도 더 무기력하다. 북한은 평양 단군릉을 대대적으로 정비하며 민족의식을 자극하고 있다. 그러나 한국은 아무것도 하지 않고 있다. 대한민국이 민족 정통성을 계승한 주체국가라면, 이 싸움의 최전선에 서 있어야 할 정부는 청와대가 아니라 어디란 말인가?
○ 대한민국의 티베트화를 막을 유일한 힘은 깨어 있는 국민뿐이다
중국은 티베트를 장악할 때도 똑같은 수순을 밟았다. 철도를 깔고, 언어를 없애고, 사원을 전시관으로 만들었다. 그리고 이제는 고구려와 발해를 박제하려 한다. 민족의 혼과 역사는 진열장이 되고, 그다음은 민족 자체의 소멸이다.
그러나 이 전쟁의 최전선에 서야 할 대한민국 정부는 없다. 외교도 없고, 역사 인식도 없고, 철학도 없다. 이재명 정부는 단지 조용히 하라는 자기 명령에 복종하고 있다. 그리고 그 침묵의 대가로, 대한민국의 역사와 외교는 조용히 침탈당하고 있다.
이제 남은 것은 국민이다. 역사가 침략당하고 있는데도, 권력은 침묵 중이다. 이재명 정권이 피한 전쟁을 국민이라도 대신 싸워야 한다. 이것은 과거를 둘러싼 싸움이 아니라 대한민국의 미래를 지키는 생존 전쟁이다. jeongkeekim@naver.com

It's a geopolitical invasion that distorts past history and national identity, and aims to seize even the historical rights of the northern part of the Korean Peninsula after unification.
But where is the South Korean government? Not even a word from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Office of the President, the National Assembly, the ruling party, or the opposition party. At this critical moment, when China is rewriting Goguryeo as its own history, the South Korean government remains silent, like a vegetative nation that has relinquished its diplomatic rights.
○ Diplomacy Kneels Before the Encroachment of Historical Sovereignty
Jilin Province is currently Chinese territory. However, it was once the heart of Goguryeo and the capital of Balhae. Baekdu Mountain, the Tumen River, Yanbian, and the Heilongjiang River—all these places harbor traces of ancient Korean history. Yet, the local leader has boldly ordered a confident explanation of the history as Chinese history. This isn't a mere explanation of an artifact exhibition; it's a declaration of war against national identity.
Despite this, the Lee Jae-myung administration remains resolutely silent. This silence isn't apathy, but acquiescence. No, a more accurate term would be assistance. Pro-China rhetoric, anti-American gestures, and abdication of diplomacy that ignores the values of liberal democracy—all of these constitute this administration's diplomatic ethos.
During the Yoon Seok-yeol administration, the president declared that he would speak out against China. That diplomacy finally smacked of pride. But with the change of government, the era of subservience and obeisance returned. While Goguryeo hid behind the pretext of quiet diplomacy, it was disappearing from history.
○ The Northeast Project is not a dispute over ancient history, but a matter of the survival of the Republic of Korea.
The Northeast Project is not simply a distortion of history. It is a comprehensive infiltration strategy that shakes the very foundation of the Republic of Korea's identity. If we abandon our status as the legitimate heirs of Goguryeo and Balhae, the legal ownership of North Korean territory after unification, the territorial disputes in Northeast Asia, and the very logic of diplomacy toward North Korea and China will collapse.
However, the Lee Jae-myung administration treats this issue as nothing more than emotional nationalism. They believe they have fulfilled their responsibilities by creating a historical foundation, allocating a budget, and submitting a single report. However, the reality is different. China has already eradicated the Korean-Chinese language and reorganized Yanbian broadcasting and education into a Chinese-ethnic narrative. The Korean-Chinese are no longer a national community; they are merely subordinate members of the Chinese system.
Meanwhile, the South Korean government is even more helpless than North Korea. North Korea is stimulating national consciousness by extensively renovating the Dangun Mausoleum in Pyongyang. Yet, South Korea is doing nothing. If South Korea is a sovereign state that inherited national legitimacy, then what government should be at the forefront of this struggle, if not the Blue House?
○ The only power to stop the Tibetanization of South Korea is an awakened public.
China followed the same pattern when it seized Tibet. It laid railroads, eradicated the language, and turned temples into exhibition halls. Now, it is attempting to stuff Goguryeo and Balhae. The spirit and history of the nation are turned into showcases, and what follows is the extinction of the nation itself.
However, the South Korean government, which should be at the forefront of this war, is lacking. It lacks diplomacy, historical awareness, and philosophy. The Lee Jae-myung administration is merely obeying its own orders to remain silent. And in return for this silence, South Korea's history and diplomacy are being quietly violated.
Now, the people are left. Even as history is being invaded, those in power remain silent. The people must fight the war the Lee Jae-myung administration avoided. This is not a battle over the past, but a war of survival to protect the future of the Republic of Korea. jeongkeekim@naver.com
