민주당 박수현 의원, ‘지역신문 발전정책 대전환’ 촉구

【브레이크뉴스】박영재 기자=더불어민주당 박수현 의원(충남 공주 · 부여 · 청양)이 29일 국회에서 '지역신문 발전정책 대전환' 을 촉구했다.

박 의원은 최휘영 문체부장관 후보자 인사청문회에서 지역신문 발전기금 및 사업규모 확대와 우선지원대상사 선정 기준 합리화와를 통한 대상확대, 정부광고의 균형 잡힌 배분 등 정책 개선을 제안했다.

최휘영 장관 후보자는 "지역언론이 지역문화의 구심점이 될 수 있도록 적극 지원하겠다"는 의사를 밝혔다. 이에 새 정부의 지역신문 정책에 대한 기대감이 커지고 있다. 

박수현 의원은 "문체위 소속 국회의원으로서 지역언론인 들의 의 목소리에 더욱 귀 기울이고, 제도로 뒷받침하겠다."고 말했다.
