【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대구서동유치원(원장 구양숙)이 지난 4일 국제바칼로레아기구(IBO)로부터 초등교육과정(PYP) 후보학교 자격을 공식 취득했다고 6일 밝혔다.
서동유치원은 '공동 성장하는 학습 공동체 구현'이라는 비전 아래 교육 주체들 간의 유기적 연대를 강화해왔다.
교직원들은 전문적 학습공동체 활동을 통해 IB 교육 철학을 받아들이고 놀이 중심 수업 혁신을 지속적으로 추진하고 있다.
이와 함께 학부모와의 적극적 소통을 바탕으로 연수 프로그램, 수업 공개, 참여형 행사 등을 운영하여 유아 중심 교육에 대한 공감대를 확산시키고 있다.
'포용적 협력'의 가치를 실현하기 위해 공·사립 유치원과 어린이집, 특수교육 및 다문화 교육기관은 물론 지역 사회단체, 대학, 해외 교육기관까지 아우르는 광범위한 네트워크를 구축했다.
