임성택 화곡본동시장상인회 회장(72·남·화곡본동)은 “강서지부가 평소에도 봉사 활동을 꾸준히 이어와 상인들이 늘 감사하게 생각하고 있다”며 “이번 화분 나눔이 시장 분위기를 환하게 하고 상인들의 마음을 북돋는 계기가 될 것”이라고 말했다. 이어 “경기가 어렵지만 상인들이 각자의 자리에서 최선을 다하고 있는 만큼 전통시장이 활기를 되찾길 바란다”고 말했다.
