이는 지난해 같은 기간 대비 176%(17,004명) 증가한 수치로, 현재 추세라면 올해 총 방문객은 5만 명을 넘어설 것으로 예상된다.
예천박물관은 상반기 주요 관광지 방문객 집계에서 예천곤충생태체험관(27,254명)과 비슷한 수준인 24,683명을 기록하며 지역 대표 관광지로 자리매김했다.
예천박물관은 하반기에 예천학 아카데미, 가족 단위 교육, 세시풍속 행사, 야외 영화 상영 등 다양한 프로그램을 통해 지역민과 관광객이 함께 즐길 수 있는 수준 높은 문화·교육 콘텐츠를 선보일 계획이다.
박상현 문화관광과장은 “올해 전시와 체험 프로그램이 더욱 다채로워지면서 방문객 증가세가 이어지고 있다”며 “연말까지 5만 명 이상이 다녀갈 것으로 기대한다”고 말했다.
