【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대구시교육청이 광복 80주년을 맞아 개최한 ‘나라사랑 실천사례 공모전’의 최종 수상작을 발표했다.
지난달 17일부터 이달 7일까지 진행된 공모전에는 많은 학생과 교직원, 학부모들의 참여가 이어졌다.
공모전은 감성 표현, 시각 상징, 참여 영상 등 3개 분야로 진행됐다. 감성 표현 분야는 디카시 제작, 시각 상징 분야는 핀버튼 이미지 도안, 참여 영상 분야는 광복절 노래 함께 부르기로 구성되었다.

심사 결과, 각 분야별 최우수상과 우수상, 장려상이 선정됐다. 감성 표현 분야 최우수상은 대구서동초 학부모가 제작한 디카시 작품 ‘잇다’가 차지했다. 작품은 세대와 세대, 마음과 마을을 이어주는 손길을 통해 나라사랑의 의미를 표현하며, 전쟁의 아픔과 미래의 희망을 그림과 시에 담았다.

시각 상징 분야 최우수상은 대구평리초 교직원의 ‘80년, 그리고 영원히’가 선정됐다. 작품은 80주년을 상징하는 ‘8’을 무한대로 형상화하고, 태극마크와 무궁화를 통해 광복과 애국 정신이 영원히 이어질 대한민국의 상징성을 보여주었다.

참여 영상 분야 최우수상은 왕선중 학생들과 교사가 함께 제작한 ‘우리의 목소리로 이어지는 광복절’이 받았다. 영상은 선열들의 희생과 용기를 기억하며, 평화로운 오늘을 지켜가겠다는 다짐을 담아 광복절의 의미를 영상과 노래로 생생하게 표현했다.
영상 분야 최우수상을 함께한 왕선중 류지현 교사는 “학교 공동체가 어우러져 세대를 이어가는 광복절의 의미를 되새기고 싶었다”며 “학생들과 영상을 제작하며 광복을 위해 희생하신 분들께 감사함을 표현할 수 있었던 뜻깊은 경험이었다”고 말했다.
강은희 교육감은 “광복 80주년은 단순한 기념이 아니라 선열들의 희생과 헌신을 기억하고 그 정신을 오늘에 되살리는 중요한 의미”라며 “앞으로도 학생과 교직원이 생활 속에서 나라사랑을 실천할 수 있도록 다양한 프로그램을 마련하겠다”고 밝혔다.

The grand prize in the visual symbolism category went to "80 Years, and Forever," by a faculty member at Daegu Pyeongri Elementary School. The work depicted the number "8," symbolizing the 80th anniversary, infinitely, and showcased the symbolism of the Republic of Korea, where liberation and patriotism will endure forever, through the Taegeukgi (Korean flag) and the Rose of Sharon.
The grand prize in the video category went to "Liberation Day Connected by Our Voices," produced by Wangseon Middle School students and teachers. The video vividly portrayed the meaning of Liberation Day through images and song, remembering the sacrifices and courage of our ancestors and expressing a commitment to preserving today's peaceful world.
Ryu Ji-hyun, a teacher at Wangseon Middle School who also won the grand prize in the video category, said, "I wanted to reflect on the meaning of Liberation Day, where the school community comes together and passes on the legacy of generations. Making the video with my students was a meaningful experience, allowing me to express my gratitude to those who sacrificed for liberation."
Superintendent Kang Eun-hee stated, "The 80th anniversary of liberation is not simply a commemoration; it is a significant moment to remember the sacrifices and dedication of our ancestors and revive that spirit today. We will continue to develop various programs to encourage students and faculty to practice patriotism in their daily lives."
