【브레이크뉴스 구미】진예솔 기자=국립금오공과대학교 ICT융합특성화연구센터(센터장 김동성)가 자체 개발한 블록체인 솔루션을 인도네시아 현지 대학과 국제전자심포지엄(IES) 조직위원회에 기증했다.
이번 솔루션 기증은 금오공대 연구소기업 ㈜엔에스랩과의 산학협력을 통해 이루어진 성과로, 현지 교육기관의 디지털 인증과 전자투표 시스템의 투명성을 높이는 데 활용될 예정이다.
김동성 센터장은 지난 5일부터 7일까지 인도네시아 수라바야 힐튼 더블트리 호텔에서 열린 ‘2025 국제전자심포지엄(IES 2025)’에서 기조연설자로 초청되어 ‘산업용 블록체인 응용: 퓨어체인과 퓨어엣지’라는 주제로 발표를 진행했다. 이어진 기증식에서는 블록체인 기반 인증 시스템 ‘퓨어서티피케이트’와 전자투표 시스템 ‘퓨어보팅’을 공식적으로 전달했다.
올해 IES 2025는 ‘지능형 연결성: 지속가능한 삶을 위한 그린 ICT 구현’을 주제로 인공지능(AI), 사물인터넷(IoT), 블록체인 등 첨단 기술을 활용한 지속가능 사회 구축 방안을 논의했다. 특히 금오공대의 전자투표 시스템 ‘퓨어보팅’ 기술은 산업 현장 적용이 가능한 신뢰 기반 인증과 투명한 의사결정 체계 구축 측면에서 참석자들의 주목을 받았다.
이번 심포지엄은 IEEE 인도네시아 지부의 기술 후원 아래 진행됐으며, 국립금오공대 출신으로 현재 국립수라바야전자공과대학(PENS) 교수인 아마드 자이(Prof. Ahmad Zainudin)가 대회장을 맡았다. 금오공대와 ㈜엔에스랩은 공식 후원기관으로 참여해 양국 간 학문 교류와 글로벌 인재 양성 사례를 공유하고, ICT 분야의 기술 협력을 이어갈 계획이다.
ICT융합특성화연구센터는 과기부와 정보통신기획평가원의 ‘지역지능화혁신인재양성사업(그랜드 ICT)’, 교육부의 ‘대학중점연구소사업’을 통해 민군 ICT 융합 기술 연구와 전문 인력 양성에 집중하고 있다.

Kumoh National Institute of Technology Donates Blockchain Solution to Indonesian University and IES Organizing Committee
The Kumoh National Institute of Technology's ICT Convergence Specialization Research Center (Director Kim Dong-seong) donated its self-developed blockchain solution to a local university in Indonesia and the International Electronic Symposium (IES) Organizing Committee.
This donation, a result of industry-academic collaboration with NS Lab, a research institute at Kumoh National Institute of Technology, will be used to enhance the transparency of digital authentication and electronic voting systems at local educational institutions.
Director Kim Dong-seong was invited as a keynote speaker at the 2025 International Electronic Symposium (IES 2025), held at the Hilton Doubletree Hotel in Surabaya, Indonesia, from May 5th to 7th, and presented on the topic of "Industrial Blockchain Applications: PureChain and PureEdge." At the donation ceremony that followed, the blockchain-based authentication system "PureAuthenticate" and the electronic voting system "PureVoting" were officially presented.
This year's IES 2025, themed "Intelligent Connectivity: Implementing Green ICT for Sustainable Living," discussed ways to build a sustainable society utilizing cutting-edge technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), the Internet of Things (IoT), and blockchain. Kumoh National Institute of Technology's (KIT) electronic voting system, "Pure Voting," particularly garnered attention from attendees for its trust-based authentication and transparent decision-making system, both applicable to industrial settings.
This symposium was held with technical support from the IEEE Indonesia Chapter, and Prof. Ahmad Zainudin, a KIT alumnus and currently a professor at the National Institute of Electronic Engineering Surabaya (PENS), served as the conference chair. Kumoh National Institute of Technology and NS Lab, Inc. participated as official sponsors, sharing academic exchanges and examples of fostering global talent between the two countries and continuing technological cooperation in the ICT sector.
The ICT Convergence Specialization Research Center is focusing on research on civilian-military ICT convergence technology and training specialized personnel through the Ministry of Science and ICT and the National IT Industry Promotion Agency's "Regional Intelligence Innovation Talent Training Project (Grand ICT)" and the Ministry of Education's "University-focused Research Institute Project."
