【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대구광역시행복진흥사회서비스원 청소년문화의집이 세계청소년의날 기념 물총축제를 성료했다고 밝혔다.
'세계 청소년의 날'은 UN이 매년 8월 12일로 지정한 날로, 청소년의 권리와 가능성을 조명하고 사회 전반에 청소년 참여의 중요성을 알리기 위해 마련됐다.
지난 9일 대명동 청소년문화거리에서 열린 행사는 청소년문화의집 청소년운영위원회가 직접 기획하고 운영했다. 축제는 1부와 2부로 나뉘어 진행됐다.
1부에서는 청소년문화의집 대표 댄스동아리의 K-POP 공연이 무대의 열기를 끌어올렸다. 2부에서는 OX퀴즈, 수박 빨리 먹기 대회 등 다채로운 게임이 펼쳐졌다.
축제의 하이라이트인 워터댄스와 물총대전에서는 참가자들이 시원하게 물놀이를 즐기며 웃음과 환호가 끊이지 않았다. 현장에 설치된 워터슬라이드는 청소년에게 큰 인기를 끌었다.
참가자들은 안전한 환경 속에서 마음껏 뛰어놀며 '우리들의 날'을 온몸으로 느끼는 시간을 가졌다. 이번 축제는 청소년의 스트레스 해소뿐 아니라 세대 간 소통과 지역 공동체의 연대를 강화하는 계기가 됐다.
배기철 대구행복진흥원 이사장은 "이번 축제는 청소년이 주체적으로 기획하고 참여해 더욱 의미가 있었다"며 "앞으로도 대구시민 모두가 함께 즐기고 소통할 수 있는 다양한 문화활동과 축제를 이어가고, 이를 통해 시민의 행복증진에 기여하겠다"고 말했다.

The Daegu Metropolitan City Happiness Promotion Social Service Center's Youth Culture Center announced the successful completion of the Water Gun Festival in celebration of World Youth Day.
Designated by the United Nations as August 12th each year, World Youth Day is designed to highlight the rights and potential of young people and raise awareness of the importance of youth participation throughout society.
The event, held on the Daemyeong-dong Youth Culture Street on August 9th, was planned and organized by the Youth Management Committee of the Youth Culture Center. The festival was divided into two parts.
In the first part, a K-pop performance by the Youth Culture Center's representative dance club enlivened the stage. The second part featured a variety of games, including true or false quizzes and a watermelon-eating contest.
The highlight of the festival, the water dance and water gun competition, drew endless laughter and cheers as participants enjoyed a refreshing splash. The water slides installed on site proved extremely popular with the youth.
Participants enjoyed a safe and enjoyable environment, allowing them to fully experience "Our Day." This festival not only relieved stress among youth, but also served as an opportunity to strengthen intergenerational communication and solidarity within the local community.
Bae Ki-cheol, Chairman of the Daegu Happiness Promotion Agency, said, "This festival was even more meaningful because youth took the initiative in planning and participating in it.
