[브레이크뉴스=정철규 기자] 진주시는 21일 시청 시민홀에서 열린 주민참여예산위원회 회의에서 총 73건, 20억7600만원 규모의 2026년도 주민참여예산 공모사업 최종 선정 결과를 발표했다.
이번에 선정된 사업은 지난해보다 9건, 2억4000만원이 증가한 수치로 주민들의 적극적인 참여와 제안이 반영된 결과라는 평가를 받고 있다.
시는 지난 5~6월 공모를 진행해 총 144건, 72억원의 사업 제안을 접수받았으며, 이후 소관 부서의 타당성 검토와 사업 구체화 과정을 거쳤다.
사업 선정 과정은 분과위원회와 운영위원회의 심의를 거친 뒤, 주민참여예산위원회 전체회의에서 최종 확정하는 방식으로 진행됐다.
최종 선정된 주요 사업에는 희망공원 도심 숲속공원 조성, 옥봉 금산공원 시설물 보수, 버스베이 개선 및 바람막이 승강장 설치 등이 포함됐다.
시는 올해 공정성과 주민 참여 확대를 위해 처음으로 온라인 투표를 도입해, 1279명의 시민이 참여하는 새로운 방식을 시도했다.
