[브레이크뉴스=강동호 기자] 합천군은 지난 7월 집중호우로 특별재난지역으로 선포됨에 따라 피해 재산에 대한 지방세 부담을 덜고자 지방세 감면을 추진한다고 22일 밝혔다.
현행 지방세특례제한법은 특별재난지역에서 재난으로 피해입은 재산에 대해 지방의회 의결을 얻어 지방세를 감면하도록 규정하고 있으며, 이에 따라 합천군의회는 사안의 긴급성을 감안해 임시회를 개최, 군세 감면 동의안을 신속히 의결했다.
감면 대상자는 호우로 인한 재산상의 피해를 본 자로 국가재난정보시스템 또는 피해사실확인서 등에 의해 피해 사실이 확인되는 재산의 소유자이며, 감면세목은 2025년도 재산세와 자동차세이다.
감면은 직권 또는 신청에 따라 실시할 계획이며, 이미 납부한 지방세가 있는 경우 환급받을 수 있다.
9월 부과할 예정인 재산세(토지)는 직권 감면 후 고지서 발송, 7월에 이미 부과된 주택 및 건축물 재산세는 추후 환급을 진행할 예정이다.
김윤철 합천군수는 “집중호우로 피해 본 군민들의 재정적 부담을 조금이라도 덜기 위해 세금 감면 등 지원에 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
