【브레이크뉴스 경북】진예솔 기자=경북교육청이 전국 시도교육청 가운데 유일하게 2025년 APEC 정상회의 공식 엠블럼 사용 승인을 받았다.
22일 경북교육청은 22일 외교부 ‘2025년 APEC 정상회의 준비기획단’으로부터 오는 10월 경주에서 열리는 ‘K-EDU EXPO’의 엠블럼 사용 허가를 받았다고 밝혔다.
경북교육이 국제 무대에서 교육 비전을 인정받는 계기로 평가된다. APEC 정상회의 개최지인 경주에서 열리는 행사인 만큼 국제 교육 교류의 장으로 주목받고 있다.
APEC은 21개국이 참여하는 아시아태평양 경제협력체로, 내년 정상회의는 ‘우리가 만들어가는 지속가능한 내일’을 주제로 열린다.
경북교육청은 이에 발맞춰 ‘Learn Together, Innovate Tomorrow(함께 배우고 내일을 혁신하다)’를 슬로건으로 10월 26일부터 28일까지 K-EDU EXPO를 개최한다.
행사는 경북교육청발명체험교육관을 중심으로 경주공고, 황남동 고분군 잔디광장에서 동시에 열리며, 기조강연과 국제 컨퍼런스, 전시·체험 부스, 공연과 경연대회, 기관 방문 등이 준비된다.
참가 대상에는 APEC 회원국 교육 관계자, 고위각료회의 참석자, CEO 서밋 참가자, 교육부 및 시도교육청 관계자 등이 포함된다.
경북교육청은 이번 엑스포를 위해 공식 엠블럼도 제작했다. ‘K-EDU EXPO’ 영문 글자에 숫자 1과 화살표를 결합해 ‘세계를 선도하는 교육, 교육으로 하나 되는 세계’를 표현했다. 붉은색으로 열정과 우수성을, 푸른색으로 신뢰와 희망을 담아 미래 교육의 가능성을 시각화했다.
임종식 교육감은 “APEC 정상회의 엠블럼 사용 승인은 경북교육의 국제적 위상을 확인한 쾌거”라며 “K-EDU EXPO를 철저히 준비해 세계 교육 혁신의 주요 파트너로 자리매김하겠다”고 말했다.

The red color symbolizes passion and excellence, while the blue color symbolizes trust and hope, visualizing the potential of future education.
Superintendent Lim Jong-sik stated, "The approval to use the APEC Summit emblem is a significant achievement that confirms the international standing of Gyeongbuk education. We will thoroughly prepare for the K-EDU EXPO and establish ourselves as a key partner in global educational innovation."
