신천지예수교회 홍보부는 8월 25일치 보도자료에서 “신천지예수교회 ‘NHE윈드오케스트라’가 제49회 대한민국관악경연대회에서 일반부 최우수상을 수상하며 창단 이후 첫 공식 대외 무대에서 눈부신 성과를 거뒀다”고 알렸다.
이 자료에 따르면, 이번 수상은 오케스트라 단원들의 음악적 역량과 꾸준한 연습, 팀워크가 결실을 맺은 결과로 평가된다. 특히 창단 이후 처음으로 선보인 공식 공연에서 영예를 안음으로써 NHE윈드오케스트라의 가능성과 잠재력을 확실히 보여줬다는 평가다.

신천지예수교회 홍보부는 “1976년 시작해 올해로 49회를 맞이한 대한민국관악경연대회는 국내 최고 권위의 관악 경연대회다. 한국관악협회 주최, 여주세종문화관광재단 주관으로 지난 14일부터 17일까지 경기도 여주 세종국악당에서 열렸으며 전국 50개 팀 2,500여 명이 참가해 치열한 경연을 펼쳤다”고 설명하고 “NHE윈드오케스트라는 대회 둘째 날인 15일 특별부/일반부 세션에 출전해 행진곡 ‘알테 카메라덴(Alte Kameraden)’과 자유곡 ‘페르시스(Persis)’를 연주했다. 고전 행진곡의 힘찬 울림과 현대적 콘서트 서곡의 대비를 정교한 앙상블과 풍부한 해석력으로 표현해 호평을 받았다”고 소개했다.
이번 대회 무대를 준비한 단원은 총 60명으로 지난 3월부터 매주 토요일마다 모여 연습을 이어왔다. 또한 5차례의 합숙 훈련을 통해 팀워크와 음악적 완성도를 끌어올렸고 이러한 꾸준한 노력이 첫 출전에서 일반부 최우수상 수상이라는 성과로 이어졌다.
박상군 NHE윈드오케스트라 단장은 “이번 대회가 처음 출전하는 대회임에도 굉장히 수준 높은 곡을 훌륭히 연주한 단원들이 자랑스럽다”며 “전국 규모 대회에서의 첫 성과를 발판으로 세계 무대에서도 활약하는 오케스트라로 성장하겠다”고 포부를 밝혔다.
NHE윈드오케스트라는 목관악기·금관악기·타악기로 구성된 윈드오케스트라 특유의 웅장하고 힘찬 사운드를 통해 ‘하늘문화’를 음악으로 표현하며, 올해부터 본격적인 대외 활동을 이어가고 있다.

In a press release dated August 25th, the Public Relations Department of the Shincheonji Church of Jesus announced, "The Shincheonji Church of Jesus' NHE Wind Orchestra won the Grand Prize in the General Division at the 49th Korea Wind Ensemble Competition, achieving a remarkable achievement in its first official public performance since its founding."
According to the release, this award is considered to be the culmination of the orchestra members' musical prowess, consistent practice, and teamwork. In particular, winning this honor in their first official performance since their founding clearly demonstrates the NHE Wind Orchestra's potential and potential.
The Public Relations Department of the Shincheonji Church of Jesus explained, "The Korea Wind Orchestra Competition, which began in 1976 and now celebrates its 49th anniversary, is the most prestigious wind orchestra competition in Korea. Hosted by the Korea Wind Orchestra Association and organized by the Yeoju Sejong Culture and Tourism Foundation, it was held from the 14th to the 17th at the Sejong Traditional Music Hall in Yeoju, Gyeonggi Province. Approximately 2,500 musicians from 50 teams across the country competed fiercely." The group continued, "On the second day of the competition, the 15th, the NHE Wind Orchestra participated in the Special/General sessions and performed the march 'Alte Kameraden' and a free piece, 'Persis.' Their sophisticated ensemble and rich interpretation, contrasting the powerful resonance of a classical march with a modern concert overture, garnered acclaim."
A total of 60 members prepared for this competition, meeting every Saturday since March to practice. Furthermore, through five training camps, they improved their teamwork and musical perfection, and this consistent effort led to their winning the grand prize in the general category in their first appearance.
Park Sang-gun, director of the NHE Wind Orchestra, stated, "Despite this being their first competition, I'm proud of the members who performed such a high-level piece with such excellence. Building on this first success in a national competition, we will grow into an orchestra that excels on the world stage."
The NHE Wind Orchestra, comprised of woodwinds, brass, and percussion instruments, expresses "heavenly culture" through music, and has been actively engaged in external activities since this year.
