성기황 경기도의원, 군포 지역교육협력 지역협의회 위원장 선출

경기도의회 교육기획위원회 성기황 의원(더불어민주당, 군포2)이 지난 8월 25일 열린 ‘2025년 제2회 군포 지역교육협력 지역협의회’에서 위원장으로 선출됐다.

군포 지역교육협력 지역협의회는 ‘경기도 지역교육협력에 관한 기본조례’에 따라 지역사회 교육자원과 학교를 연계해 교육의 공공성을 강화하고, 관련 사업을 심의·자문하는 기구.

성기황 의원은 “군포 교육 현안에 대한 깊이 있는 이해와 적극적인 소통을 바탕으로 지역사회와 학교가 상생하는 교육협력 모델을 만들어 나가겠다”며, “경기교육의 미래를 위한 관심과 노력을 통해 군포시 교육 경쟁력을 높이고, 학생·학부모·교직원 모두가 만족할 수 있는 교육 환경 조성에 최선을 다하겠다”고 강조했다.

성기황 의원은 경기도의회 교육기획위원으로 활동하며 경기교육 주요 정책을 점검하고 있으며, 경기도교육청 예산결산특별위원회 위원으로도 참여하고 있다.

Gyeonggi Provincial Council Member Seong Ki-hwang Elected Chair of the Gunpo Regional Education Cooperation Council

He will lead the resolution of Gunpo's educational issues and foster mutually beneficial cooperation between schools and the local community.

Council Member Seong Ki-hwang (Democratic Party of Korea, Gunpo 2) of the Gyeonggi Provincial Council's Education Planning Committee was elected chair at the 2nd Gunpo Regional Education Cooperation Council Meeting for 2025, held on August 25th.

The Gunpo Regional Education Cooperation Council, pursuant to the Gyeonggi Province Ordinance on Regional Education Cooperation, strengthens the public nature of education by linking local educational resources with schools and provides deliberation and advice on related projects.

Council Member Seong Ki-hwang stated, "Based on a deep understanding of Gunpo's educational issues and active communication, I will create a model for educational cooperation that fosters mutually beneficial cooperation between the local community and schools." He added, "Through my interest and dedication to the future of Gyeonggi education, I will enhance Gunpo City's educational competitiveness and strive to create an educational environment that satisfies students, parents, and faculty alike." Currently, Assemblyman Seong Gi-hwang is serving as a member of the Gyeonggi Provincial Council's Education Planning Committee, where he reviews key Gyeonggi education policies. He also serves as a member of the Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education's Budget and Settlement Special Committee.
