(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 부평구가 27일 국제 안전보건경영시스템 표준인 ‘ISO 45001 인증’을 획득했다고 밝혔다.
부평구에 따른면, ‘ISO 45001’은 국제표준화기구(ISO)가 제정한 안전보건경영시스템 국제표준으로, 조직 내에서 근로자의 안전과 보건을 보호·개선하기 위한 관리 기준이다.
국내에서는 한국품질재단이 위험요인 파악, 예방활동, 근로자 참여, 법규 준수 여부 등을 포함한 조직의 안전보건관리 체계 전반을 종합적으로 평가해 인증을 부여하고 있다.
앞서 부평구는 지난 3월부터 안전보건경영시스템 표준(ISO 45001) 규격에 맞는 안전보건관리 체계를 본격적으로 구축해 왔으며, 전 부서를 대상으로 한 점검과 개선활동을 통해 체계 정비를 완료했다.
이어 7월에는 한국품질재단의 심사를 받아 인증을 취득했으며, 지난 26일 인증서를 수여받았다.
부평구는 이번 인증을 통해 청사 근무자뿐 아니라 현업 부서에서 다양한 업무를 수행하는 근로자들까지 안전하게 보호할 수 있는 기반을 마련했다.
특히, 현장 작업에서 발생할 수 있는 재해 요인을 사전에 관리하고, 구민을 위한 행정 과정 전반에서도 안전·보건 체계를 강화하는 계기가 됐다.
