[브레이크뉴스=정철규 기자] 진주시가 경남도가 주관한 ‘2025년 산불예방·대응 시군 평가’에서 지난해에 이어 올해도 최우수 기관으로 선정되며 2년 연속 영예를 안았다고 27일 밝혔다.
이번 평가는 도내 18개 시·군을 대상으로 산불 예방과 대응 체계, 홍보 실적, 우수사례 등을 종합적으로 심사해 진행됐다.
진주시는 인근 시군에서 발생한 대형산불에 선제적으로 대응하고 주민 대피를 신속히 시행해 인명 피해를 예방한 점에서 높은 점수를 받았다.
주요 우수사례로는 10대 주요 산 대상 산불 진화훈련, 청소년 참여 산불예방 캠페인 등 시민참여 중심의 활동이 포함됐다.
또 월아산과 대곡교도소 등 중요 시설에 대한 합동훈련, 차량 진입 곤란지역에서의 간이 수조 설치 및 기계화 시스템 점검이 주목받았다.
