세종시는 내년도 정부 예산안에 지역 핵심사업 예산이 대거 반영돼 국비 확보에 청신호가 켜졌다고 1일 밝혔다.
시에 따르면 2026년 정부 예산안에 세종시는 행정수도 완성을 위힌 투자사업으로 국회 세종의사당 956억원, 대통령 세종집무실 240억원을 포함해 총 1조7천279억원의 국비가 반영됐다.
이는 올해보다 1,478억원 (9.4%) 늘어난 수치다. 주요사업을 보면 국립민속박물관 건립에 154억원, 유네스코 세계유산 국제해석설명센터 23억원, 국립박물관단지 사업에도 492억원이 포함됐다.
한글문화도시 조성을 위한 정책 연구비 3억원이 반영돼 명실상부한 한글문화도시로 도약할 수 있는 계기를 마련하게 됐다.
또 부처별 기능별 흩어져 있는 한글 교육을 일원화 하기 위한 한글문화 교육센터 운영비 5억원, 한글문화도시 조성 계속사업비 40억원을 확보해 사업을 안정적으로 추진할 수 있게 됐다.
시민 안전과 편의를 높이기 위한 사업도 대거 반영됐다.
친환경종합타운 건립 사업 설계비 3억원, 운전면허시업장 설계비 9억원, 하수관로 사업 설게비 6억원이 새롭게 반영됐다.
자율주행버스 레벨 4고도화 사업에 15억원, AI기반 민원 자동처리 ICT기반, 축사악취 저감 등 '스마트 빌리지 개발 보급 사업비 18억이 포함돼 미래산업 육성을 위한 현안 사업에도 탄력이 붙을 전망이다.
이와 함께 사이버 보안 강화를 위한 '지역거점 정보보호 클러스터 구축 '사업비 20억이 각각 반영됐다.
