브레이크뉴스 최애리 기자= 과기정통부와 KISA, 한국소비자원은 시중 유통 중인 로봇청소기 6개 제품을 대상으로 보안 실태를 점검한 결과, 일부 제품에서 개인정보 유출 및 사생활 침해 가능성이 있는 취약점을 확인했다.
해당 제품은 제조사 측에서 즉시 개선 조치를 취했으며, 개선 계획을 한국소비자원에 제출했다.
이번 점검에선 6개 브랜드의 로봇청소기를 대상으로 했다.
먼저 나르왈의 프레오 Z 울트라는 모바일 앱 보안은 보통 수준이었고, 점검 결과 정책 관리와 기기 보안은 우수했다.
드리미의 X50 울트라는 모바일 앱 보안과 기기 보안은 우수했지만, 점검 결과 정책 관리는 미흡했다.
로보락의 S9 MaxV 울트라는 세 가지 항목 모두 우수했다.
삼성전자의 비스포크 AI 스팀은 모바일 앱 보안과 점검 결과 정책 관리가 우수했으나 기기 보안은 양호한 수준이었다.
에코백스의 디봇 X8 프로 옴니는 모바일 앱 보안은 양호했고, 정책 관리와 기기 보안은 우수했다.
LG전자의 코드제로 로보킹 AI 올인원은 세 가지 항목 모두 우수하다는 평가를 받았다.
아울러 이번 조사에서 IoT보안인증을 획득한 제품은 상대적으로 개인정보 유출 위험이 낮은 것으로 나타났다.
과기정통부는 제품 구매 시 IoT보안인증 여부를 확인하면 보다 안전하게 디지털 기기를 사용할 수 있다고 권고했다. IoT보안인증은 로봇청소기, 스마트냉장고, IP카메라, 디지털 도어락 등 생활 밀접 제품을 대상으로 보안 요구사항 충족 여부를 평가하는 제도다. 지난해 12월 스탠다드 등급 인증을 받은 제품은 조사 결과 보안성이 우수한 것으로 평가됐다.
최우혁 과기정통부 정보보호네트워크정책관은 "이번 조사로 제품 보안성 향상과 소비자 인식 제고에 기여할 것"이라며 "보안이 디지털 제품의 핵심 요소로 자리 잡을 수 있도록 지속적으로 노력하겠다"고 말했다.
