【브레이크뉴스 경북】진예솔 기자=경북교육청(교육감 임종식)은 2025년 교육부 자기주도 학습센터 공모사업에 신청한 6곳이 모두 선정됐다고 4일 밝혔다.
포항 오천고, 구미 도개고, 안동 자기주도학습센터, 영주 경북전문대 하이브센터, 예천 청소년수련관, 울릉교육지원청이 선정되었으며 오는 12월부터 순차적으로 개소할 예정이다.
자기주도 학습센터는 지역과 소득 수준에 따른 교육격차를 해소하고, 사교육 없는 자기 주도적 학습 모델을 제공하기 위해 마련됐다.
학생들에게 개별 열람실, 모둠 학습공간, 휴게실 등 학습 공간을 제공하며, 학습 코디네이터를 배치해 EBS 연계 학습관리 서비스를 운영한다. 또한 대학생 연계 화상 튜터링을 통해 주요 교과목 질의응답과 학습 상담도 지원한다.
학교 안 센터는 재학생 및 인근 학교 중고생을 대상으로 운영되며, 학교 밖 센터는 지역 거주 중고생을 대상으로 자체 기준에 따라 희망자를 선발해 운영한다.
임종식 교육감은 “이번 선정으로 경북 학생들이 스스로 배우고 성장하는 미래형 인재로 발돋움할 기회를 얻게 될 것”이라며 “앞으로도 학생 중심의 다양한 교육 프로그램을 지속적으로 발굴하고 지원해 미래 교육을 선도해 나가겠다”고 말했다.

The Self-Directed Learning Centers were established to bridge educational gaps based on region and income level and provide a self-directed learning model without private tutoring.
Students will be provided with individual study rooms, group study spaces, and lounges. Learning coordinators will operate a learning management service linked to the Educational Broadcasting System (EBS). Furthermore, video tutoring with university students will be provided to provide Q&A and academic counseling on key subjects.
The on-campus centers will be open to current students and middle and high school students from nearby schools. The off-campus centers will be open to local middle and high school students, with applicants selected based on internal criteria.
Superintendent Lim Jong-sik said, “This selection will provide Gyeongbuk students with the opportunity to grow and learn on their own, becoming future-oriented talents.” He added, “We will continue to discover and support diverse student-centered educational programs to lead future education.”
