【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=제11회 팔공산 왕건축제가 오는 12일부터 13일까지 이틀간 신숭겸장군 유적지 앞 잔디마당에서 열린다.
팔공산 왕건축제는 고려를 건국한 태조 왕건의 화합과 포용 정신, 충절의 상징인 신숭겸 장군의 뜻을 기리는 지역 대표 역사문화 축제다.
공산동 주민자치위원회(위원장 김남호) 주최로 전통문화 공연과 체험, 주민 참여형 프로그램 등 다채로운 행사가 마련된다.
올해 축제는 특히 플리마켓과 향토 먹거리 장터, 지역 특산물 판매 부스 등 부대행사가 확대돼 시민과 관광객들에게 한층 풍성한 즐길 거리를 제공한다.
주요 프로그램으로는 △공산영화제 △국궁대회 ‘내가 제일의 신숭겸이다’ △전통문화 체험 △세대와 계층이 함께하는 경연대회 ‘갓탤런트’ △찾아가는 음악회 △행운권 추첨 등이 준비됐다.
김남호 주민자치위원장은 “올해 축제는 단순한 역사문화행사를 넘어 지역민이 직접 기획하고 참여하는 진정한 주민축제”라며 “많은 시민과 관광객들이 고려 건국의 숨결과 지역 전통문화를 마음껏 즐기길 바란다”고 말했다.
윤석준 동구청장도 “팔공산 왕건축제는 고려 건국 정신을 계승하고 주민 화합을 이끄는 중요한 문화행사”라며 “지역경제 활성화와 관광객 유치에도 크게 기여하길 기대한다”고 강조했다.
