[브레이크뉴스=정철규 기자] 진주시는 진주스포츠파크 실내체육관에서 ‘제11회 진주시 이·통장연합회 한마음대회’를 개최해 이·통장들의 소통과 화합을 위한 뜻깊은 자리를 마련했다고 17일 밝혔다.
이날 행사는 30개 읍면동 이·통장 960명을 비롯해 조규일 시장, 시의장, 도의원, 시의원, 봉사단체장 등 1200여명이 참석해 지역사회를 위한 협력과 연대의 중요성을 다시금 확인했다.
행사는 식전 공연을 시작으로 기념식, 읍·면·동별 노래자랑, 지역가수 초청공연 등 다채로운 프로그램이 이어지며 참여자 모두가 즐길 수 있는 축제의 장으로 진행됐다.
또 이날 진주시 이·통장연합회는 관내 이·통장들의 뜻을 모아 성금 300만원을 진주시복지재단에 기탁해 어려운 이웃을 돕는 나눔 활동을 실천해 감동을 더했다.
이상호 회장은 “주민과 늘 가까이에서 시정 발전을 위해 헌신한 이·통장들의 노고에 감사드린다”며 “변함없는 열정과 봉사로 부강한 진주와 행복한 시민을 위해 힘쓰자”고 말했다.
조규일 시장은 “오늘 마음의 짐을 내려놓고 소통하며 친목을 다지는 날이다”며“이·통장들의 봉사와 희생 덕분에 진주시가 국내외에서 인정받고 있으니 앞으로도 함께 힘써 달라”고 당부했다.
