[브레이크뉴스=정철규 기자] 진주시는 국토교통부 우리동네살리기 사업의 일환으로 추진 중인 상봉지구 도시재생사업 현장을 방문해 ‘입체 주차마당 빈집 철거’ 진행 상황을 점검했다고 18일 밝혔다.
국토부가 추진하는 우리동네살리기는 노후 주거환경 개선과 생활 밀착형 편의시설 공급을 목표로 하는 도시재생사업으로, 진주시는 지난 2024년 공모 선정 후 사업을 진행 중이다.
상봉지구 도시재생사업은 노후주택 집수리와 골목길 정비, 빈집 철거 등을 통해 주거환경을 개선, 커뮤니티 케어센터와 공유마당, 봉황 힐링로드 등 지역 거점시설을 조성한다.
또 공유마당 조성사업은 장기간 방치된 빈집을 철거해 주민들이 공동으로 활용할 수 있는 공간으로 재탄생시켜 주차장과 공유텃밭, 방재마당 등 다양한 용도로 운영될 예정이다.
이번 현장 점검 대상인 입체 주차마당은 총 9억원의 사업비를 들여 지상 2층, 28면 규모의 필로티 구조로 건립되며, 오는 2026년 준공을 목표로 서봉지 공원 인근에 조성된다.
빈집 철거 공사는 지난 7월 착공해 지금까지 4호가 철거됐으며, 올해 안에 추가로 2호를 철거해 총 6호를 정비할 계획이며, 이는 주민 안전 확보와 주거환경 개선의 기초가 된다.
