【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=옥천군이 거리와 골목까지 무대로 만드는 제2회 옥천전국연극제를 개최한다. 10월 23일부터 26일까지 옥천 문화예술회관과 관성회관 등 옥천읍 일원 5개 장소에서 열린다. 전국 58개 극단이 참여해 11대 1의 높은 경쟁률을 기록하며 한국 대표 연극 축제로 자리 잡았음을 보여준다.
이번 연극제는 공모를 통해 선정된 5편을 포함해 초청작과 지역 극단 작품 인형극 등 다채로운 공연들로 가득 채워진다. 특히 올해는 옥천의 거리가 곧 무대가 되는 옥천극장이라는 콘셉트로 축제 분위기를 한껏 끌어올릴 예정이다.
공연은 옥천극장 관성극장 지용극장 짜꿍극장 거기극장 등 총 5개 공간에서 펼쳐진다. 옥천극장에서는 개막작과 폐막작을 비롯해 크리스마스의 기적 하이타이 등 다양한 작품이 상연된다. 관성극장에서는 안티고네와 착한 사람 김삼봉이 지용극장에서는 옥천여관 미스터 마담을 만날 수 있다.
옥천읍 먹자골목 일대에 마련된 거기극장에서는 인형 퍼레이드와 인형극 마당이 펼쳐져 가족 단위 관람객에게 특별한 즐거움을 선사한다. 또한 짜꿍극장에서는 K-퍼포먼스 연희랑과 재즈 페스타 등 다양한 축하 공연이 마련되어 있다.
모든 공연은 무료이며 온라인 사전 예약은 9월 19일 오전 10시부터 옥천군청 홈페이지에서 시작된다. 예약 시 노쇼 방지를 위해 천 원의 예약금이 부과되지만 공연 관람 후 전액 환불된다. 인터넷 사용이 어려운 어르신 등을 위한 현장 사전 예약도 추후 진행될 예정이다.
