[브레이크뉴스=정철규 기자] 진주시는 24일 시청 소회의실에서 조규일 시장 주재로 ‘긴급 안전관리 강화 대책회의’를 열고 중대재해 예방을 위한 대응 방안을 논의했다.
이날 회의는 조규일 시장 주재로 부시장과 실·국장, 고위험 사업을 담당하는 10개 부서장이 참석했다.
시는 현장의 안전관리 미흡으로 발생할 수 있는 중대재해를 예방하기 위해 위험요소 확인, 안전사고 발생 가능성 점검, 대응체계 정비 등 구체적 실행 방안을 집중 논의했다고 전했다.
또 회의에서 추락, 끼임, 부딪힘, 화재, 질식 등 5대 재해 예방을 위한 12대 안전수칙 준수를 재강조하며, 시 발주공사와 직영사업장 전반에 걸쳐 긴급 안전점검을 실시하기로 했다.
또한 시는 현업 근로자와 수급사 종사자를 대상으로 긴급 안전교육을 병행해 안전의식을 높이고, 사고 예방에 대한 실질적 효과를 거둘 수 있도록 한다는 방침이다.
조규일 시장은 “작은 부주의가 대형사고로 이어질 수 있는 만큼 모든 직원이 안전수칙 준수와 현장 점검에 최선을 다해달라”고 당부했다.
한편 진주시는 중대재해처벌법 시행 이후 전담조직을 구성해 연말까지 대응 전략 컨설팅을 진행하고 내년에는 인증제 도입으로 관리체계를 강화할 계획이다.
