이번 만남은 한중 수교 33주년을 앞두고 양국 간 교역 및 신산업 협력의 새 전기를 모색하는 상징적 행보로 평가된다.
이 위원장은 이날 포럼 현장에서 최근 발간한 저서 『새 시대를 이끄는 시진핑과 한중관계』를 리 회장에게 증정하며 “이 책은 지난 30여 년간의 한중 교류의 궤적과 함께 미래 협력 비전을 담았다”며 “양국이 직면한 글로벌 공급망 재편, 한중 교류, 기후 위기 대응 등에 공동 해법을 모색해야 한다”고 강조했다.
리 회장은 “이 위원장의 저서는 양국 경제협력의 역사와 미래 방향을 통찰력 있게 제시하고 있다”며 “특히 아태지역에서 지속 가능한 무역 및 산업 연계 강화를 위한 협력의 지침서가 될 것”이라고 평가했다.

한중교류촉진위원회는 이번 포럼을 계기로 ▲아태 지역 경제·산업 협력 로드맵 수립 ▲한중 공동 k-문화 포럼 ▲중소기업 교류 플랫폼 구축 등 후속 사업을 본격화할 계획이다.
한편, 올해 포럼에는 40여 개국에서 정부 대표단과 학계 전문가 등 80여 명이 참석해 경기 불확실성과 기술 패권 경쟁, 기후 변화 대응 등 국제경제 질서의 현안을 논의했다. 이번 회동은 한중 경제협력의 새로운 도약을 위한 전략적 신뢰 구축과 실질적 협력 모델 마련의 계기로 주목받고 있다.
