이 교수는 지난 27일 서울 코엑스마곡 특설무대에서 열린 '2025 아시아 바텐더협회 주관 세계 칵테일 플레어 챔피언십'에서 '한국 바텐더 대상'을 수상했다.
'한국 바텐더 대상'은 음료 산업 발전과 바텐더 분야의 전문성 향상에 이바지한 업적을 기리기 위해 새로 만든 상이다.
이 교수는 전통주와 음료 상품 개발, 바텐더 교육 및 기술 연구에 꾸준히 힘써왔다. 국제대회 출전을 돕고 후배들을 키워내며 한국 바텐더들의 세계적 위상을 높이는 데 크게 이바지했다는 평가를 받았다.
