브레이크뉴스 문홍철 기자= 현대자동차그룹 제로원이 스타트업 혁신 기술의 조기 실증과 글로벌 진출 위해 국제공인시험기관 한국기계전기전자시험연구원(KTC)과 협력한다.
현대차그룹 제로원은 30일 서울 서초구에 위치한 강남 제로원 공간에서 제로원실 노규승 상무, KTC 안성일 원장, 윤일준 본부장 등 관계자들이 참석한 가운데 ‘첨단산업 육성 및 지원 위한 업무협약(MOU)’을 체결했다고 밝혔다.
제로원과 KTC는 이번 업무 협약을 통해 제로원 스타트업에 대한 시험·인증을 지원하고, 제로원 스타트업 및 신사업 등과 연계한 상호 협력 네트워크를 구축한다.
구체적으로 양사는 △KTC 시험·인증 분야 제로원 소속 스타트업 지원 △제로원 소속 기업 시험·인증 의뢰 시 발생 수수료 최대 10% 수준 감면 △제로원 소속 기업 요청 시 기술 규제 해소, 해외 인증 지원 등 전문 인력을 통한 기술 상담 등을 지원하기로 했다.
이번 협약으로 제로원 소속 스타트업들은 제품 개발·상용화 과정에서 마주하는 시험·인증 비용 부담을 줄이고, 해외 시장 진출에 필요한 글로벌 인증도 한층 수월하게 획득할 수 있을 것으로 보인다.
특히, 규제 사각지대에 놓이기 쉬운 신기술 분야에서도 KTC의 전문성을 바탕으로 제도 대응과 규제 해소가 가능해져, 혁신 기술의 실증과 상용화 속도가 한층 빨라질 것으로 기대된다.
