[브레이크뉴스=정철규 기자] 진주시는 오는 4일 개막하는 진주남강유등축제를 앞두고 행정안전부, 경남도, 유관기관과 함께 진주성과 남강변 일원에서 축제장 통합 현장 점검을 실시했다고 2일 밝혔다.
이번 점검은 조규일 진주시장을 비롯해 행정안전부 재난안전점검과, 경남도 사회재난과, 진주경찰서, 진주소방서, 주관단체와 시 국·소장 등 30여명이 참여했다.
점검 대상은 유등과 시설물 설치 상태, 관람 동선과 공간 배치, 임시주차장과 셔틀버스 운행 계획, 무대 구조물 안전성, 응급 대응체계 등이다.
특히 초혼점등식이 열리는 망경동 수상 특설무대와 불꽃놀이, 드론 라이트쇼가 열리는 공간 등 인파 집중 예상 구역의 안전성 점검을 강화했다.
조규일 진주시장은 “축제의 완성도는 현장에서 결정된다”며 “세계인이 찾는 진주의 10월 축제가 안전하고 품격 있게 치러지도록 철저히 준비하라”고 당부했다.
한편 진주시 10월 축제는 진주남강유등축제, 제74회 개천예술제, 2025 코리아드라마페스티벌 등 세 가지 대표 축제가 함께 열려 풍성한 가을을 선사한다.
